Dr. Antonio de la Vega de León started his chemoinformatics career under Prof. Jürgen Bajorath at the University of Bonn. His Masters and PhD thesis focused on the visualization of high dimensional chemical space and novel applications of matched molecular pairs for data mining and machine learning. After obtaining his PhD, he was a Marie Curie postdoc on the European project D3i4AD, a public-private collaboration to discover novel probe and therapeutic compounds against Alzheimer´s disease where he worked on machine learning models to support phenotypic screening campaigns. Later, he spent 2,5 years as Lecturer in Chemoinformatics at the University of Sheffield. He then moved to industry and is currently Principal Scientist at BMS Center for Innovation and Translational Research in Europe (CITRE) in Seville. He works on novel targeted protein degraders for unmet clinical need in oncology.
