Bonnie Lawlor is retired. She was most recently the Executive Director of the National Federation of Advanced Information Services (NFAIS), an international membership organization comprised of the world’s leading content and information technology providers. Prior positions include Senior Vice President and General Manager of ProQuest’s Library Division and Executive Vice President, Database Publishing at Thomson – ISI (now Clarivate Analytic).
Bonnie is active in the American Chemical Society, currently serving as a Councilor for the Division of Chemical Information and as an elected member of the Committee on Budget and Finance. She is past chair of both the ACS Committee on Copyrights and the Divisional Activities Committee, and served for six years each on the ACS Committee on Nominations and Elections, the Committee on Committees, and the Council Policy Committee. She also is the Chair of the Committee on Publications and Cheminformatics Data Standards for the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry. She also is the Chair of the Subcommittee on Publications that is part of the Committee on Publications and Cheminformatics Data Standards for the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry. Lawlor also serves on the Boards of the CSA Trust and the Philosopher’s Information Center, the producer of the Philosopher’s Index.
Ms. Lawlor earned a B.S. in Chemistry from Chestnut Hill College (Philadelphia), an M.S. in chemistry from St. Joseph’s University (Philadelphia), and an MBA from the Wharton School, (University of Pennsylvania).
