Dr. Peter Löw retired from InfoChem in 2018. Prior to this, Dr. Löw founded and managed several software companies. In 1986 he founded ChemoData GmbH in Gröbenzell, Germany, and from 1986 to 1992 he served as its Managing Director. In 1989 he founded the software company, InfoChem GmbH, Munich, and served as its Managing Director through 2016. In 1991 he founded the software company InfoChimia GmbH in Berlin and served as its Managing Director through 2015. ChemoData and InfoChimia were merged with InfoChem, in 1992 and 2015 respectively.
Dr. Löw received his degree in chemistry in 1978 from the Ludwig-Maximilian University, Munich. He received his Ph.D. in chemistry in 1983 from that same institution. From 1983 until 1986 Dr. Löw did post-doctoral research at Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI) UK in the group of Prof. J. Gasteiger at the Technical University, Munich. Dr. Löw has published several articles in Chemistry journals.
Borne 1954 in Munich, Dr. Löw is married to Petra Löw. They have two sons Ludwig-Maximilian (borne 1992) and Moritz-Philipp (borne 1994).
