Dr Ray J. Boucher, retired formerly the Senior Editorial Director, Chemistry at Wiley. He oversaw Wiley’s Chemistry journals globally and was responsible for the strategic direction and development of the portfolio. He joined Wiley in 1998, with a background in the physical Sciences, including a PhD in organic chemistry from the University of Bath, several years’ post-doctoral research work at the University of Bristol, and hands-on editorial management of scholarly journals with Georg Thieme Verlag. During his career he led global publishing teams in the physical sciences. He is actively involved in the implementation and the use of standards for improving the dissemination of research in his role as Chair of the InChI Trust. Ray is a Fellow of IUPAC and the RSC and a member of the ACS and GDCh.
